Daniel A. Brown’s subjects come from a variety of inspirations, ranging from simple imagination to actual scenes viewed in the course of the day. Once in the studio, these ideas go in a variety of directions "where I am as much following artistic intuition as applying deliberate technique; the consistent response is that people find it unique, tranquil and worth collecting." ~ Brown exhibits in New York, Boston and from Maine to Pennsylvania.
Bryn Craig's oils vibrate with rich, luminous color; brush stroke and bold composition combine to capture movement, space and feeling through the use of light. Simply put, Bryn Craig is a painter of places: a theater, landscapes and interiors. Bryn states: "I'm more concerned with the light and shadow; with the mood. I try to get the poetry out of a place rather than aim toward photo-realism.... Light is everything to me." ~ Craig studied at the Art Students League in New York and has received awards.
Claudia Hartley’s paintings are best described as enthusiastic: reminiscent of Matisse and Van Gogh. She concentrates on cool and warm colors, pattern and composition of positive and negative shapes using brush strokes in oil or acrylics. Drawn by the light and the "wildness" of the Southwest, she moved from Georgia to Arizona where she now resides in the desert. ~ Hartley’s work can be found in private and corporate collections. She has also been included in major publications: Southern Living and Southwest Art.
