The Clive Emson auction is the world's largest art auction. Held annually in London, it features the finest works of art from around the world. The auction features a range of media including paintings, sculptures, prints and jewelry.
The auction has three main stages: pre-sale, sale and post-sale. Pre-sale starts on Wednesday evening and runs until Friday morning. This is when bidders can place bids on artwork that will not be available for viewing at the sale itself. Sale takes place over the course of two days, Saturday and Sunday. Post-sale takes place on Monday morning and closes at 10am GMT. This is when buyers can buy properties and make payment.

To participate in the auction you must register online before bidding begins. Registration is free and allows you to submit a maximum bid on any piece of art that you are interested in owning. You also have the option to join one of Clive Emson's private preview sessions where you can view all of the artwork in advance and make bids without having to register.
The price of art at the auction varies depending on its size, material and location. Works by well-known artists such as Pablo Picasso and Michelangelo usually command high prices, while pieces by lesser known artists may sell for less due to their scarcity. The total amount collected from all sales is distributed among participating museums worldwide according to a strict formula set out by the auctioneer himself.
