Must-See Attractions in Stockholm, Sweden

The capital of Sweden, Stockholm offers you the camera-ready sites that you do not want to miss. When you are vacationing Europe, you should check out this cosmopolitan city that is a combination of the old and new. Whether it is music, fashion or design, the city has lots to offer and some of the attractions you do not want to miss are:

ABBA: The Museum

One of the top attractions in Stockholm, Sweden is ABBA: The Museum, which is informative and wildly fun. Plus, the same building also houses the Swedish Music Hall of Fame and it is presented quite beautifully.

The Royal Palace

Not only is it the official residence of His Majesty the King, Stockholm’s Royal Palace also has a number of attractions that you should check out. These include the Museum of Antiquities, the Royal Treasury and the Royal Apartments. It is an excellent place to spend the day.

Grona Lund

If you are traveling to Stockholm with family, you do not want to miss the amusement park overlooking the water. Other than the usual games and rides, Grona Lund also has numerous bars and restaurants. If you are visiting during the summer, you can also enjoy concerts that are held there routinely.

Gamla Stan

One of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities, Gamla Stan boasts cobblestoned streets that are great for pedestrians. Stockholm’s oldest street named Köpmangatan can be found here as well as its narrowest, which is called Mårten Trotzigs Gränd. There are also award-winning cafes, restaurants, shops and bars, along with some truly fantastic museums that you can explore when traveling to Stockholm.

Fotografiska Museet

In 2019, Annie Leibovitz opened Stockholm’s Photography Museum and it has become one of the top attractions of the city. There are four exhibitions held there every year, along with 20 small ones. You can enjoy some great views from the café on the top floor and there is also a great gift shop.
