In fact, most private label CBD products don’t even contain any cannabinoids at all! Instead, they typically contain hemp oil, hemp extract, or malt extract.
Hemp oil is made from the seeds and flower buds of the hemp plant. Hemp extract is made from the ground up seeds and flowers. Malt extract is made from malted grain. All three of these ingredients are extracts of plants, which means that they have potentially been processed in ways that may not be healthy for your body.
For example, hemp oil can be extracted using high-heat methods that can damage the oils content and composition of the seed. As far as hemp extract, if it isn’t grown under the oversight of government-approved programs, its quality and purity can be questionable.
